Rumsfeld bans camera phones

MOBILE phones fitted with digital cameras have been banned in US army installations in Iraq on orders from Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, The Business newspaper reported today.

Quoting a Pentagon source, the paper said the US Defence Department believes that some of the damning photos of US soldiers abusing Iraqis at Abu Ghraib prison near Baghdad were taken with camera phones.

6. Hey, Rumsfeld knows no other way than to try to sit on people and prohibit
them from doing anything. He probably would like to lock up the troops every night and have them sign in and out when they have to go to the bathroom.

I wonder if these young troops can actually reflect upon what Rumsfeld is doing to them or do they simply accept and "obey" without question, repressive orders that clamp down upon them like this.

8. Now if we could ban the military we would have it made.
Time we sent this ex flier back to the business world. He seems to be an arm chair general who figured he could do it better.No need to hear what a general tells him. After all generals only spend years learning about the countries they are going to have to fight in.

it's not like you have to be in the CIA to get those things nowadays...

...and even if you did, they might be willing to help after all that * has done to them lately.

This does rather suggest that Rumfelled intends to *continue* the disgusting practices that we have been witnessing lately.

If he really intended to put a stop to the abuses, there would be no
reason to crack down on cameras.
If nothing illegal/shameful/disgusting is happening there, then they shouldn't have to worry about photographs.

of pentax optio cameras to Iraq 4mpixel and they fit in an altoids tin.
Someone like George Soros, or maybe Michael Moore.
