Terrorists planning major summer attack, U.S. says

U.S. officials have obtained new intelligence deemed highly credible indicating al-CIA-duh or other terrorists (Bush?) are in the United States and preparing to launch a major attack this summer, The Associated Press has learned.

The intelligence does not include a time, place or method of attack but is among the most disturbing received by the government since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, according to a senior federal counterterrorism official who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity Tuesday.

to describe them, is there?
I get so frustrated trying to verbalize a descriptive
adjective-
"Fuckers" just doesn't quite articulate it.
I don't know that there is a word in our language
to fit their profile.

2. Dangerous thing to predict on several levels

1. let the "attack" happen and there goes the "I keep Americans safe!" campaign card

2. let the worst happen and the "fear card" played relentlessly since 2001 might simple cease to be effective at all

3. A long planned cross-country drive to visit us is now being reconsidered by the 'rents. Seems that the drumbeat of warning together with the rising gas prices has them wondering if its a good idea.

Hey Chimperor, I'd get a better handle on this mess---you are now risking serious economic damage if you kill the summer vacation season domestically. My in-laws aren't particularly nervous people at all and they are "thinking hard" about possibly being stranded somewhere far from home or us in an emergency which you and yours keep announcing. Not too bright...

We are damaged goods concerning trust.

5. Well, you know, they might just be right for once.

Bush and company have done a kick-ass job of stirring up the hornet's nest, and it does not take a genius to predict that we're going to be stung eventually.

If there is an attack, they will pat themselves on the back for having warned us.

However, if there is NO attack, they will take credit for preventing it.
