TOKYO, Japan (AP) -- Kiss bassist Gene Simmons, who sparked outrage in Australia after making comments seen as anti-Muslim, said he was speaking only of "extremists" and that his remarks were taken out of context.

"I was asked about extremists," he said Friday in an interview with The Associated Press.

"This is a vile culture and if you think for a second that it's willing to just live in the sands of God's armpit you've got another thing coming," Simmons said during an interview on Melbourne's 3AW radio.

"They want to come and live right where you live and they think that you're evil."

...just what Laura Ingraham wants. The "shut up and sing!" Ingrahamites are dumber than she is. To the Ingrahamites I say this: You boast how at a concert if the entertainer starts saying something political (anti-Bush) you take the courageous stand of shouting out "shut up and sing!" per Laura's instructions. Well, guess what? your telling them to shut up is political and YOU are just a listener. A listener. Not even a musician. All you do is listen, and now you are interjecting politics into your listening! Next time one of you gits are at a concert, just SHUT UP AND LISTEN.

So this is the clown who was saying those things, eh? Realize my popular music knowledge basically ended with the Moody Blues, and I don't know much about Kiss. From the look of his outfit I wonder about any musical ability-or is this an atypical photo? Apparently he decided the remarks didn't garner the kind of publicity he was looking for.

in the original article but Simmons does a good job of blurring the lines between the extremists and ALL of Islam.

The are both aging rockers who need to have sex with young women to support their egos.

Both sell to a partying audience and both claim to never have done any drugs.

Both want to kill people.

In my judgement, both are shallow, hollow people preying on flesh to feed their empty souls.
