Marines killed in action in Iraq
THREE US Marines were killed in action today in Anbar province west of Baghdad.

The Marines were assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, which is responsible for security in a wide area from just west of Baghdad to the borders of Syria and Jordan.

A military statement on the deaths gave no further details, citing security.

Earlier today, Iraqi witnesses reported attacks on military convoys near two towns in Anbar province - Fallujah and Ramadi - and a large explosion in the area of Fallujah.

.......

The US military reported two other service member deaths today - one soldier from the Stryker Brigade who died from non-hostile causes in northern Iraq and a soldier from the 81st Brigade Combat Team who was killed on Tuesday in a mortar attack south of Baghdad

2. lunaville now showing 810 lost in Iraq
that is with 74 in May http://lunaville.org/warcasualties/Summary.aspx

but GlobalSecurity http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ops/iraq_casualties_may04.htm shows 77 for May and that doesn't have any lost since May 26 (today is May 29)

I am so sorry for all of the lives lost, ruined and forever saddened by the illegal invasion of a sovereign nation by my country.

6. Amazing how they can just give no details
You might think that in a democracy that the population has a right to know how its blood and treasure is being spent. I suppose that is old fashioned now.

7. At first I thought this was a duplicate.
The headline from 5/26 also read 3 marines killed in Al Anbar province. The same bad story just keeps repeating itself.

10. Three Leathernecks Killed In Iraq - CBS
Edited on Sun May-30-04 12:08 AM by dArKeR
Three U.S. Marines were killed in action Saturday in Anbar province west of Baghdad, the U.S. military reported.

The Marines were assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, which is responsible for security in a wide area from just west of Baghdad to the borders of Syria and Jordan. The statement gave no further details, citing security.

Earlier Saturday, Iraqi witnesses reported attacks on military convoys near two towns in Anbar province - Fallujah and Ramadi - and a large explosion in the area of Fallujah after sundown. However, it was not known whether the Marines died in any of those incidents.

Also Saturday, the U.S. military reported two other service member deaths - one soldier from the Stryker Brigade who died Friday from non-hostile causes in northern Iraq and the other soldier from the 81st Brigade Combat Team who was killed Tuesday in a mortar attack south of Baghdad.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/02/24/iraq/main541815.shtml

I saw a report on ABC Evening News a report about the front line hospital in Germany. More than 12,000 wounded treated. Doctor said the wounded will have more problems than just healing and physical rehabilitation, 'they going to suffer psychologically.' Reported on head wounded but brain activity stopped and nothing can futher be done.

-------------

Look at the pic on CBS link. The woman is pushing the unexploded shell as a dozen children stand next to her.

Look at the pic of Allawi. I don't trust his face. I feel he is evil.

11. Three is now not enough for NewsHour when they recap top stories
Saw them recap one day last week on a day when 3 or 4 were killed, and it did not even make the top story recap. I kept waiting, and then it was over. Not a peep about the deaths. And the other recaps were not that huge, that they could not have included it.
This country is now accepting the deaths as inevitable as people dying of cancer.
Averaging 4 a day now. Acceptable. It is part of life. War is inevitable. Bush had no choice. Where's my TV guide...
