Maryland May Cancel Voting Machines Purchase
ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Maryland officials said they may cancel a $55.6 million agreement to buy electronic voting machines if an international computer security firm finds a problem with the machines' security.

The Washington Post reports the state had ordered 11,000 touch-screen machines from Diebold.

Maryland is reviewing its purchase after a report by Johns Hopkins University says the system's software could be easily hacked into, and election results could be tampered with. (Complete Text)

Does this mean that there is now good reason to jack up the contract of the phantom testing, or was there pressure to bear by those truly concerned?

They are definitely international experts at this.
