Post Office to Issue Reagan Stamp
WASHINGTON - A postage stamp honoring Ronald Reagan will be issued next year, the Postal Service announced Wednesday.

Postal policy is to honor prominent Americans with a stamp no sooner than 10 years after their death, except for former presidents who, the agency said, can be honored on their first birth anniversary following death. Reagan was born Feb. 6, 1911 and died June 5.

In announcing the Reagan stamp, Postmaster General John E. Potter said, "The Postal Service will be proud to add a commemorative postage stamp to recognize the many honors that President Reagan, a man of diverse talents, accumulated throughout his life and beyond."

The design of the stamp hasn't been completed, the agency said.

1. And each time you buy one,
it will cost more than the last one you bought. Will the glue taste like ketchup?

7. Gawd! Reagan was the Godfather of Privatization!
He got the ball rolling on privatizing the Postal Service but it to George H.W. to finish the job. Thank goodness Poppy screwed the pooch on that one. Now Dubya's back to get the job done!

12. the nixon stamp was great
especially when affixed to a clever envelop someone (i forget who, exactly, but i think they were based in santa cruz) developed that had bars in the area where the stamp is attached - made it look exactly like nixon was in prison.

15. Did you hear the old joke about the Brezhnev stamp?
A guy goes into the post office & says
"comrade postmaster-these Brezhnev stamps don't stick!"
The postmaster says-"but comrade, you're spitting on the wrong side!"

18. And Then There's The Stamp Honoring Prostitutes. It's a 10-cent stamp...
... but if you lick it, it's a quarter.

Ba-dum-bump! (Ching!)

Thank you, thank you! I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip your waitresses.

17. Eh.
At least we have a choice as to whether or not to use that stamp. It would be hard to stop using dimes and 10$ bills all together with his face on them.
