Tory release questions Martin's stand on porn
OTTAWA - The Conservatives retracted a news release issued Friday with a headline reading: "Paul Martin Supports Child Pornography?" and later changed it to "How Tough is Paul Martin on Child Pornography?"

The release which states, "Martin says he's against child pornography, but his voting record proves otherwise", was sent out to media at 15:40 EDT, and recalled an hour later.
Media backlash against the headline pushed the Conservatives to change the headline, party spokesperson, Rhonda Walker told CBC.ca. but the body of the release remained the same.
Another Conservative news release titled, "The NDP Caucus Supports Child Pornography?", accuses 11 Caucus members of voting against prohibiting the creation or use of child pornography

2. They see their polls going down so they are gonna start making...
mistakes. The Liberals hardhitting ads are having an effect, imo. Harper had an easy ride up to now but his past statements and stances are coming back to bite him in the ass.

3. Agree. The Conservatives have peaked and are trending down.
Just posted this elsewhere, but what the heck:

These are the numbers from the SES-CPAC tracking poll over the past eight days:

Date-------CON / LIB / NDP / BQ / GRN

18/06/2004 29 / 34 / 22 / 10 / 05
17/06/2004 32 / 32 / 21 / 12 / 04
16/06/2004 34 / 32 / 19 / 12 / 03
15/06/2004 33 / 32 / 19 / 12 / 04
14/06/2004 34 / 33 / 18 / 11 / 05
11/06/2004 34 / 33 / 18 / 11 / 05
10/06/2004 37 / 32 / 17 / 10 / 05
09/06/2004 37 / 33 / 15 / 10 / 05

Just look at this:

The Conservatives are DOWN 8%
The Liberals are UP 1%
The NDP is UP 7%

4. This sounds desperate
It makes me believe the polls that claim the Harperites are losing support since the debates.
