Some choice statements here. I think the best one is from an unnamed outside White House advisor who says, when asked about the 9/11 commission panel findings and Bush's campaign... "They feel it's important to their long-term credibility on the issue of the decision to go to war," the adviser said. "It's important because it's part of the overall view that Iraq is part of the war on terror. If you discount the relationship between Iraq and Al Qaeda, then you discount the proposition that it's part of the war on terror. If it's not part of the war on terror, then what is it — some cockeyed adventure on the part of George W. Bush?""

wars are not fought over lofty ideals such as freedom or democracy -- wars are fought for resources and the power those resources provide

line with a lot of qualifiers. Love Cheney insisting that while they can't actually prove meetings and collaboration, they can't disprove it either. Yeah, like Saddam could not disprove the neocons' insistence that he had WMD. Hard to prove a negative, huh Crashcart?
