BAGHDAD, Iraq - A roadside bomb exploded near a Baghdad hospital Wednesday, killing three Iraqis, including a mother and her child, police said.
Iraqi police moved in to seal off the area about 700 yards from Kindi Hospital in the eastern part of the capital, said Iraqi police Sgt. Ammar Ahmed.
"There was no U.S. patrol in the area," Ahmed said.
Footage from Associated Press Television News showed the charred shell of an Iraqi taxi in the middle of the street as Iraqi police and U.S. troops sealed off the area. The woman and child killed were riding in the taxi, said Col. Khubur Saleh of the Iraqi police.
