Honasan 'offered to kill' Estrada, Arroyo - Philippines
Senator Gregorio Honasan had urged and trained young officers and enlisted men to stage a mutiny and pave the way for a coup plot, which included the killing former President Joseph Estrada and incumbent President Gloria Arroyo in 2000 and 2001, three former rebel soldiers have revealed.

Honasan had hatched a coup plot against Estrada in early 2000 and even offered to kill the former president in January 2001, had the latter refused to step down while people held protest rallies because of the abrupt ending of his impeachment trial in the senate in December 2000, said Proceso Maligalig, retired Navy captain and spokesperson of the Revolutionary Alliance of Nationalist soldiers (RAM), a fraternity of former rebel soldiers.

Maligalig was a key leader in the mutiny that paved the way for the ouster of former dictator Ferdinand Marcos and the ascendance of Corazon Aquino to the presidency in 1986, and in several coup attempts against her from 1987 to 1989.

1. This is very strange Ramos' name doesn't come up in this report. Very strange! Benefits of being a member of The Bush Crime Family.

2. No respect for 4 Presidents and a Pope who lets children be prostitutes. (For 30 years now. Next door to the Presidential Palace.)
