McCain Stumps For Bush In Central Florida
Copyright 2004 by wftv

... "We all know that Florida will be a battle ground state. We need to make sure we carry it for Bush," McCain said.

When McCain is done in Brevard, he is heading up the coast, stopping in a handful of other Florida cities Wednesday, on the way to a big Bush-Cheney rally Wednesday evening in Jacksonville.

9. I would like his opinion on the new Kerry book that Drudge is highlighting
Sounds similar to his experience in S. Carolina.

2. I have never understood why people here LIKE McCain. Some of his
votes are OK, and he has defended Kerry... two kudos for him.

BUT HE IS A REPUG WITH NO SELF RESPECT. Campaigning for somebody who smeared him AND HIS FAMILY is beyond the pale. And I know he does not like Bush... I saw him in The Daily Show...

5. I don't understand this either, especially the smear...
tactics they used against him. You can still support your party and remain a silent partner, but to stoop for Bush&Co destroys the little respect I had for him.

6. He's a repub, of course he has to stump for Bush
He shouldn't, because of how Bush treated him in the 2000 primaries, but he's a good repub, and they win because they stick together.

I respect McCain, even though I don't agree with him on all issues. There's two kinds of politicians-power mad crazies and public servants. I put him usually in that second category.

Whoever said he broke under torture in Vietnam, well, I don't know too many people who could take that kind of torture. Most of us are not like the Mel Gibson character from "Lethal Weapon".

8. The Vietnam stuff is silly. Surviving torture for that length
of time is just a testimony to his resilience. Torture is not my cup of tea... I would break in one second, I would have to commit suicide before ANYTHING happened because I would be a traitor to my cause immediately. If the pioneers had been like me (a total wuss), the Indians would still have America for themselves (which would not have been a bad thing).

22. aaaaugh! 'kudos' is not a multiple, it is a thing like 'respect'
its my pet peeve - sorry -

its greek - and its misused at the highest levels on american discourse - you cannot give someone multiple 'respects'. you give them 'respect'. the same for 'kudos'. look it up.

say 'ku-doss' not 'ku-dowes'

3. And no I have no respect for McCain. He surredered to the Torturers
What is ever worse, he will be killed by his Imperial Bushevik Masters long before he has an opportunity to reach the Imperial Throne.

10. And he doesn't have the excuse of not knowing the full viciousness
of the man he's selling. I'd have divorced him long time ago. I feel sorry for the adopted child to have to witness such demeaning lack of character in her new family.

12. The real McCain.
I hope this teaches anyone who thinks McCain is a moderate a lesson.

He's just as much a thug as the rest of them. After what Bush did to him in 2000, why would McCain support Bush?

Because he's a greedy right-wing thug, just like the majority of elected Republicans.

16. Ask McCain "Do you like president Bush personally?"
McCain is rumored to despise Bush personally. McCain is also rumored to be plain-spoken. Why doesn't some reporter just ask McCain if he likes Bush or not.

18. I can't for the life of me figure out McCain since South Carolina,
and, I still can't figure why is his loyalties to the Republicans are so entrenched.?
Booknotes - http://www.booknotes.org/Transcript/?ProgramID=1791

LAMB: In the same chapter, you say, "but public cynicism will not be allayed by defending the honor of politicians. The cynicism is real, profound, and has increased every year since the turbulent `60s to the point that it no longer provokes as much public anger as it does indifference to government." Do you find it when you are traveling around the country or in your own state, and how would you define cynicism towards government?

MCCAIN: I think cynicism is that they don`t believe that we represent their interests first and foremost, that the special interests are far more represented here in our conduct of events in Washington. And when we passed the Medicare prescription drug bill, it has a prohibition of imports from Canada, and a prohibition from Medicare negotiating with the big drug companies for lower drug prices. The Veterans Administration negotiates; they save hundreds of millions of dollars a year. Then they know -- the American people are far more intelligent than we give them credit for. And I think you`re going to see a reform movement either within one or other of the major parties, or you`ll see a reform movement from outside these parties, if we don`t change the way we`re doing business.

19. Why is bushco wasting McCain on Florida?
They must figure the state isn't in the bag, if they're pushing McCain around. Should be enough to roll out Jeb and the BitchQueen, and then Diebold the whole thing. Hmm. Maybe the threats of intense poll scrutiny are forcing the bush campaign to work for the prize? Or at least make it look like they've worked for it?

They're gonna need McCain back in AZ, too -- it's swingin' in the breeze right now.

27. Probably promised some sort of position
Secretary of State after Powell slinks away?

He's probably naive, however, if he takes AWOL at his word. AWOL is just the type to string McCain along then dump him by the side of the road as soon as he's finished with him.
