Howard denies lying about Iraq
Monday 09 August 2004, 10:57 Makka Time, 7:57 GMT

Australian Prime Minister John Howard has hit back at critics who accused his government of lying to the country about the reasons for invading Iraq.

He labelled as "out of touch and anti-government" former Australian defence chiefs and diplomats who accused his government of being deceitful about the Iraq war.

In a public statement issued on Sunday, the group of 43 signatories said Australia's involvement had raised the country's profile as a terrorist target.

2. Give him a shovel and put him on the next plane to Baghdad
If he thinks he wasn't being deceitful, let him look for Saddam's arsenal in the desert.

3. "anti-government"
That's like those around here who say disagreeing with the Prez or calling his veracity into question is un-American.

Unbelievable!

4. OMG ... His lips are moving again!!!!
Howard's lies are so vast in number, an entire website John Howard Lies dot com can barely contain them all. What's more telling, the web site is sponsored by the Sydney Morning Herald. For all of his trying, Murdoch couldn't gobble up the Herald and it has become one of Australia's leading sources of information. They have journalists, not pundits.
