Cheney Visit Leads To Altercation - Rio Rancho Observer (NM)
<snip>

The heated battle for the presidential vote became physical during Vice President Dick Cheney's visit to Rio Rancho last weekend, with an elderly Albuquerque man saying he will press charges as the result of an incident along Northern Boulevard.

According to a report filed with the Rio Rancho Department of Public Safety, Paul Gershowitz said he was pushed to the ground by Glenn Hoyle Jr., 50, of Rio Rancho. Both agreed that Hoyle struck Gershowitz in the face, with Gershowitz characterizing the blow as an open-fist punch and Hoyle as a slap, and that the contact did not cause Gershowitz to fall.

Hoyle said he was defending his wife and daughter, who were being verbally abused by Gershowitz. But Gershowitz, 75, denied making any personal remarks to Hoyle's wife Chris and daughter Mandy, 18.

Because the officer at the scene did not witness the incident, no charges were filed. Gershowitz said Thursday he would file a complaint against Hoyle when he returns from a trip this week.

2. Such is the nature of "Changing the tone"
Folks, be careful out there. Watch your backs and document, document, document.

Won't it be nice to have a vice president that doesn't cuss out Patrick Leahy? That's my current dream...

10. Absolutely. Video cameras are very wise at such protests.

9. Notice the end of the article???
Instead of finishing the sentence about being forced to sign a loyalty oath, it repeats the stupid, overdramatic paragraph from the husband's point of view.

Who know who is telling the truth... who knows what was said.. but that idiot should NEVER hit another person. Ever. His little wife and daughter (who need protection from the BIG STRONG husband) were in NO danger of being harmed. Sounds like they were being pushy and obnoxious trying to crowd out the protestors. Regardless of what was said, it should never come to blows. THAT is stupid.
