Iraq PM gives Chalabi's party 24 hours to evacuate Baghdad HQ
BAGHDAD (AFP) - Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi gave the party of disgraced Pentagon favourite Ahmed Chalabi 24 hours to leave its Baghdad headquarters, the interior ministry said.

Ministry spokesman Sabah Khadim insisted that eviction orders would follow against other parties which he said had seized state property after the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime in April last year, but acknowledged that this was the first.

"They will be returned to the ministries that owned the buildings before," he said.

"This is the first one (and) this is the order of the prime minister."

An official from Chalabi's Iraqi National Congress party charged that the order was part of a continuing conspiracy against the group, after its leader was charged with banknote forgery late last week.

"We were notified this afternoon that we must evacuate our Baghdad offices within 24 hours," said Mithal al-Alusi.

"The order was signed by the Iraqi government and delivered to us by an American soldier. The conspiracy continues."

1. Consolidating power.
The US Puppet Regime is ridding itself of rivals to power. I suspect that Iraq will implode soon and the country will split into various territories. Most Iraqis do not put any creedence to the US Puppet Regime. Power alliances are forming against US hegomy. The Iraqis refuse to be colonized...again.

The US Neo Fascists have suceeded in one of their goals. Keeping Iraq from selling oil via Euro-scipt. The goal of 14 US Military bases is proceeding. I don't think the the Neo Fascists care if Iraq splits into pieces as long as the oil is funneled to the US and Israel.

3. I doubt it, and I doubt we'll see them there anytime soon
They say they can clear up the charges in short order, but are really willing to risk a long stay at Abu Ghraib?

If Chalabi visits Jordan first, then maybe he'll go to Iraq.
