A Bush cousin finds his TV niche
Meet Billy, son of terrorist financier, Jonathan Bush

A Bush cousin finds his TV niche

Billy Bush has done pretty well on Access Hollywood, NBC's weeknight show-biz gloss, considering the show was forced to hire him.

"I'd never heard of him," says Rob Silverstein, executive producer of Access.

"Jay Ireland, the head of the NBC TV stations, told me, 'You're going to use this guy,' which I wasn't too happy about. I didn't think he could do the job, and for the first couple of months, I was convinced I was right."

...

Tonight from Athens, as NBC prepares its Olympics barrage, Bush will assume the Access anchor chair, alongside Nancy O'Dell. He'll also contribute features to NBC's late-night Olympics coverage.

1. He is a real twerp. I didn't watch much Access Hollywood before,
but after his anchoring has become more prevalent, my viewership has gone to 0.

watching (and wincing). We kept saying to each other - "who invited HIM?"

And somebody else said - who the hell IS that guy? The answer came back, dripping with sarcasm: one of the bushes. Maybe he should pair up with Paris Hilton. Make trading on a family name an industry.

Eleanor Mondale went places for awhile, too. But I don't know what's become of her. Hopefully he'll slide into obscurity when his family's heyday is over. Besides, a Kerry win will mean we'll be seeing the Kerry girls and maybe the Heinz guys more often. The bushes will be passe. Out. So last year. In fact, for this clown, being considered no longer chic will probably be the biggest blow his ego could possibly take. Better parlay it while you can, little twerp.

hired this nitwit for their morning show? CNN wanted to lick the boots of their bosses at the RNC, but the guy was so awful he was gone after three days.

21. Well, I'm NOT. I'm sick of these people always getting their way.
I'm sick of these people, PERIOD. I saw dear darling jebbie talking about hurricane victims and I found myself praying for the day when the name "bush" does NOT blight the American landscape - political, entertainment, media, modeling, WHATEVER. Doesn't matter which arena. I hope they all go AWAY.

23. The worst part of Jeb is that I still have his "life just doesn't get...
...any better than this" speech ringing in my ears after his little rat bastard son's wedding...the "heart-throb of the 2000 election" my ass.

It's hard to describe the "vibe" of the Bush clan...kind of a Leona Helmsley thing, where there's money and power and influence involved, and despite all of that, they really, really suck as human beings...and they cannot keep themselves out of the spotlight.

Screw 'em all. Leona might even be a better person, w-a-y down deep inside.

... I've seen him at the local bar. He is moving from NJ to the West Coast, good riddance. Every time he is on TV I am forced to change the channel, so annoying.

18. The more Bushes getting media jobs through nepotism...
...the better. I say give all the Bush kids jobs where people can see what a bunch of utterly worthless no-talents they are.

Bring 'em on.

Hope we never hear their names again, not once.

Thanks for the alert telling us this tumor is on that show. Another reason to avoid it.
