Rocket Slams Into Iraqi Market, Killing 5 (Mosul)

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A rocket slammed into a busy market in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on Wednesday, killing at least five civilians, a U.S. military spokeswoman said.

Seven civilians were wounded in the 1 p.m. attack in Mosul, 225 miles northwest of Baghdad, said Capt. Angela Bowman.

It was not known who fired the rocket. No other details were immediately available
