Ex-official jailed in report of gun (Utah, with small Iraq connection)
http://www.sltrib.com/utah/ci_2396440

"A chief of staff under former Utah Gov. Mike Leavitt was arrested after he allegedly brandished a gun at another driver on Interstate 15 over the weekend, authorities said.
Bob Gross, 54, of Centerville, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on suspicion of using a weapon in a fight or threat, a class A misdemeanor, on Saturday, jail records show. He was released the following day.
<snip>
He was most recently tapped by the Bush administration to advise Paul Bremer in an effort to rebuild Iraq and reduce the country's staggering unemployment rate.
His four-month stint in Baghdad ended in early June, shortly before the United States handed the country over to an interim Iraq government."

I worked for this guy for years, he has a real hair trigger (no pun intended) and a nasty temper. When he returned from Iraq (two months early) there was an article in the paper saying he solved Iraq's unemployment problem. (oh, did I mention he's a liar and a self promoter?) Iraq currently has a 70% unemployment rate.

2. yes, he's a republican
Very. But mostly an opportunist. If there was a Dem gov and prez, he'd be a Dem. He has no political commitments. He just wants to be rich and famous and play golf all the time.
