Jesus. http://cbs4boston.com/nhnews/NH--SoldiersMisfortu-en/resources_news_htmlExcerpt: Wednesday August 18, 2004 CANDIA, N.H. (AP) It was a tough time for the Farrin family.
On Friday, Henry Farrin Jr., Epsom's former police chief and now a 172nd Mountain Division Army National Guardsman, was wounded in the head by a roadside bomb in Iraq. On the same day, his home in Port Charlotte, Fla., was flattened by Hurricane Charley.
Farrin's wife, Sandra, and two children barely escaped injury as they sought shelter in a locked closet, said Farrin's sister, Hannah Shepard of Candia.
``Oh my God, between him being wounded in Iraq, and the hurricane oh, God,'' Shepard said.
But now, Shepard said she and her family are breathing a collective sigh of relief. As it turned out, Farrin's head wound was minor, and he is due to head home to Florida for a two-week leave later this week.
