Al-Qaida may launch attacks against Veterans Affairs hospitals, the FBI warned in a nationwide terrorism bulletin that lists Aurora as one of two targets under possible reconnaissance this year.

Federal officials say there is no credible information about specific threats against hospitals, but the bulletin said they may be more attractive targets than heavily guarded military bases.

>snip: further down in the article

There's no imminent danger, no credible threat," he said.

What there is, is confusion
>snip

Sooo, threat or no threat? Scaring veterans who are utilizing their health benefits sounds more Bushian than Al Qaidi-ish.. MKJ

And says the staff has discussed the possibility of dealing with an armed vet, suffering from PTSD combined with the reduction/termination of vet benefits...they often have to be put in the untenable position of having to explain to vets that benefits they thought were ironclad guaranteed have been diminished or eliminated. Our vets are quickly becoming the most disenfranchised population, for health care, in the country. MKJ

5. vets are nothing more than BushCo's disposable lackeys
Edited on Sat Aug-28-04 10:54 AM by ima_sinnic
At every turn they are dissed, with benefits cut and service questioned and trivialized. The Naked Emperor is so arrogant, he thinks they are his servants--slaves, really--wbom he can order into battle, use up, burn out and throw away while he observes from the sidelines while a concubine stuffs grapes in his mouth while sitting on his face.

on edit: "terrorist" threats are a good way to keep lackeys under his thumb, trembling in fear and awe.
