AP - Breaking - Chevron Gave Big To Schwarzenegger

<snip>

Thu 10:21PM ET - Associated Press
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's ambitious plan to reorganize almost every aspect of state government was influenced significantly by oil and gas giant ChevronTexaco Corp., which managed to shape such key recommendations as the removal of restrictions on oil refineries.

7. Man, I wrote to her when I heard she had he and Maria scheduled
and told her she knew NOTHING about politics and had NO business giving Arnold a soapbox, her friendship with Maria notwithstanding, and that she was about to do irreparable harm.

Obviously didn't help. I love Oprah, but she's a political neophyte and she really does need to stay out of political matters until or unless she educates her damn self.

14. Why Blame Oprah?
Blame the legions of Californicators who were ultimately clueless and lacked the critical thinking, and voted this fraud in. I guess if Dr. Phil can make it to a general election, we'd blame her too for it....

Don't see any way to rate this... Want to give it a "5" per Yahoo's usual setup.

5. this makes my skin crawl even more than it usually does when grope is
out and about. We know he's corrupt after hearing he attended the Enron meetings prior to the CA energy crisis. This sounds like icing on that cake.

We watched the Daily Show tonight and saw part of the rerun of last night's show, reviewing grope's speech. It's even worse to see him speaking - his face looks unnaturally taut and his mouth is a gaping lipless cavern spewing mindless drivel.

6. Davis was ready to sign new emission laws
That stuff always starts in CA and moves east. There was lots at stake, including aggressive pursuit of law suits against the energy companies that defrauded so many. He had to be stopped. Association with oil co money is to be expected.

12. what about the oil offshore in California?
Didn't I read somewhere that the oil companies were drooling about developing that, which wasn't allowed before. Don't know if that's changed with Arnold there. So far.
