U.S. Immigration Officials Go on Courtesy Offensive
Complaints from international travelers to the United States about hostile treatment by immigration officials have prompted them to clean up their act, the official in charge of border controls said Monday.

Robert Bonner, commissioner for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), said the complaints -- many of them from Britons traveling for business or pleasure -- had forced the CPB agency to institute a code of conduct to ensure officers treat visitors with respect.

"Even one incidence of rude or hostile conduct tarnishes the image of the CBP and gives the United States a black eye. One instance of rude behavior is too many," Bonner told a journalists' briefing in London.

He said complaints had come from all over the world, but his department was particularly struck by the number from Britain.

1. What does it mean when American workesr don't normally work with integrity and respect for themselves and other?

2. What does it mean when the aWol Gestapo Administration reacts to a problem way too late? As they did on the Bin Laden warnings to attack America?

As I told you all 3 years ago this was happening. I said American businesses will lose travellers thus income to American businesses. I also said the college students would stop coming to America. (Which was proven in the last report I post last week, 28% applications down this year alone. And the report cited America an "unfriendly place".)

3. But to be clear, Immigration treat ALL PEOPLE like shit. Including Americans. As they do to me and EVERY American friend I've ever spoken too.

4. What does it mean when a sleazy dirty no-brain slug named dArKer predicted all this in writing on the DU three years ago? Who the heck is running the Kerry campaign? Kerry and Edwards should be nationally broadcasting tomorrow that Bush and Cheney are so hated all over the world that it will lead to the destruction of American and its economy. So vote for who the terrorists want in power, Bush/Cheney or Kerry/Edwards who will unite the world wipe out terrorism through global cooperation and return the needed overseas visitors and students who will drive our economy upwards.

1. My sister-in-law who is Chinese, got harassed entering the US, this year.
She now says the "Communists" have taken over America.

She's lived here longer than 'Arrnold,' but speaks with less of an accent, and up til now she always voted Republican. I don't think she'll be voting for Bush this time around.

I, myself, have been harassed by customs agents about 25% of the time I enter our police state. They consider me a criminal, I guess, because thirty years ago, US Customs agents entrapped me in a Texas-border pot-bust.

Since then, I've been strip-searched half a dozen times, often when returning from Jamaica, (where there is a reputation for a lot of pot,) but I've also occasionally been harrassed when returning from European countries.

I've thought of making complaints, but what is the use? I'm glad to hear they're going to act more professional, but I really don't think they'll improve. They are goons.

2. US Immigration law
is so absolutely bogus
that Congress stuck in rider
that if it was ever dragged in front of the Supreme Court,
the Supreme Court was NOT to invalidate the whole Act
but only that one line which is in question.

Congress has beef with the Supreme Court and its rulings on Immigration Law.
Once upon a time there used to be something called the congressional veto wherby a Congresscrittur could stick a finger in and screw up anything they wished to, within the borders of the US.
Then they met with a Kenyan by the name of Chadha
http://www.oyez.org/oyez/resource/case/184/
and when he got with them,
the Supreme Court declawed that cat and effectively voided HUNDREDS of federal statutes. Just about every Act on the books has sections of it that are still enforced, but are illegal.
And that, folks,
is what happens when you mess with non-Americans.
