Ark. Gov. Huckabee Won't Run for Senate
"LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Gov. Mike Huckabee said Wednesday he would not challenge Sen. Blanche Lincoln (news, bio, voting record) next year, leaving Arkansas' Republicans without a high-profile Senate candidate for 2004."

This is the second or third Republican who seems to have a chance who says he won't run in '04. What's up?

1. good news
I think Blanche Lincoln will win. It seems that the GOP isn't getting the candidate recruitment edge they had in 2002--Dems seem to be getting the most good news. We still have to keep our eyes on North Carolina and Florida and see what Edwards and Graham are going to do.

2. Not suprising
The candidate that I'm most worried about is Asa Hutchinson, but I still think Lincoln wins anyway.

6. Hasn't Hutchinson already said no?
He could change his mind but I doubt it. Well the leading candidate is now Gunner DeLay. Lincoln should win but having another person from the DeLay clan in Congress would be pretty horrible.

4. From an Arkansan... UGH!!!
I hope not! I don't even want to see this creep run for dog catcher. What an awful governor this pea goober has been. He has to be the all-time thinnest-skinned republican of all times. What a whiner, and his wife is another Katherine Harris. What a b!tch.

This man is a crybaby. I hope his Baptist congregation won't even allow him back in the pulpit to preach anymore. He just needs to go away, hopefully to another country... just expatriate you Hawg-jowelled turd!!!

7. Alright, more good news.
Our prospects for the Senate are getting less and less depressing. We are in trouble in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and possibly Florida. But we now look safer in Arkansas, Nevada, and Wisconsin, and we will probably pick up Illinois and possibly Alaska, Pennsylvania, and perhaps even Colorado.
