Bush Scolds 'Tired, Pathetic' Dems -CBS
(CBS/AP) President Bush chided Sen. John Kerry and fellow Democrats on Monday for asserting that Republicans will undermine Social Security, calling the strategy "the most tired, pathetic way to campaign for the presidency."

Traveling by bus through the southwest corner of this battleground state, Mr. Bush tried to improve voters' perceptions of his domestic policies by condemning Democrats for going negative — even as he held Kerry's plans up to the harshest possible light.

35. Ditto
for the "flip-flop" meme. Didn't they first trot this out in '92? Then they used it on Gore, now Kerry. It's not quite as barnacle-encrusted as "Massachusetts liberal," but it's fairly middle-aged. Can't they even come up with new smears?

8. In this article, he cracks on Massachusetts- where's the oppo research?!
How about comparing the state to some red states? Exerpts from a 5/22 letter to the AJC:

Since Zell Miller recently called John Kerry an ultraliberal from "Taxachusetts," let's compare the tax situations of Massachusetts and Georgia.

According to the Tax Foundation, Georgia's state and local tax burden ranks 18th in the nation; Massachusetts ranks 36th. Strike one to Georgia.

Also, Georgia has a tax code that is so complicated that the state ranks 25th for business friendliness; Massachusetts ranks 12th. Strike two to Georgia.

By Miller's two-strikes-and-you're-out law, Georgia should be warming the bench. However, we'll give it one more at-bat.

For every dollar that Georgia sends to Washington, it gets back $1.01; for every dollar Massachusetts sends, it loses a quarter, which is redistributed to freeloaders such as Georgia.

Strike three, Zell.

Bush has used this line in his stump before today. Some quick oppo responses should be available as official remarks when asked.

The rape and pillage of the American middle class should be right up there, well above "W stands for Wrong."

14. Bush: "What would you expect from a senator from Massachusetts?"
Great, he insulted France ("There is America, and there is Texas"), so let's start in on the 50 states.

"Attention states: if you don't vote for me, you suck. That's right, up yours. Go "F" yourselves. You wanna vote for me, I'll be right over here."

We're watching a spoiled child who's gotten EVERYTHING he wanted from life without lifting a finger to get it, without an ounce or talent or commitment or BALLS. FUCK him and his mummified parents as well.

Bring it on, Junior.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/09/13/bush.monday.ap.ap/index.html

"I'm running against a fellow who has got a massive, complicated blueprint to have our government take over the decision making in health care," the president said. "Not only is his plan going to increase the power of bureaucrats in your life, but he can't pay for it unless he raises your taxes."

"What would you expect from a senator from Massachusetts?" Bush said, as a partisan crowd cheered the reference to Kerry's home state and its liberal leanings.

<We're watching a spoiled child who's gotten EVERYTHING he wanted from life without lifting a finger to get it, without an ounce or talent or commitment or BALLS>

This is the primary reason I despise him so. Kerry should use this as a talking point.

Kerry earned his name. * did not. Who is pathetic?

"I'm running against a fellow who has got a massive, complicated blueprint to have our government take over the decision making in health care," the president said.

He apparently thinks he's running against Clinton. Either that or some of the old talking points got mixed in with the new ones.

He lays on the sarcasm real deep. Of course neither he or his own proposal has any merit, so why not simply resort to a childish attack on the opponent? That what we have here folks, the "president" of the united states engaging in this kind of a shit campaign. Wonderful!

Last week's show detailing the build-up to 9/11 really pointed out the LACK of Bush's "leadership". He showed NO interest whatsoever in terrorism and for him to use his leadership on 'The War On Terror' as a re-election bid is beyond arrogance!!
