European papers slam Bush
European newspapers Wednesday accused US President George W. Bush of refusing to face facts over Iraq after he called for greater international involvement in reconstructing the country in an address to the UN General Assembly.

The president's speech "systematically refused to engage with what actually has happened in Iraq," the Financial Times commented. "The extent of the president's disengagement from the reality of a sinking Iraq is alarming," it said.

Bush "exhibited no sense whatsoever of grievous US policy mistakes, of the serious failures of the occupation authorities, or the extent to which the Iraqi misadventure had handed the initiative to jihadi terrorists," the business daily added.

The FT accused Bush of "solipsistic" assumptions and hailed Democrat presidential contender John Kerry's call Monday for a "great, honest national debate on Iraq" as a "welcome injection of seriousness" into the election campaign.

It is only the opinion of some writers.

25. Major newspapers around the world are being harshly critical of
dimson and his misadventure in Iraq, yet this isn't news?!

Is it possible that public opinion (yes, newspapers shape public opinion) in countries with democratically elected leaders might impact the actions taken by those leaders vis a vis the Iraq War?

This seems like a pretty silly thing to have to explain.

2. That's our bush...that's what we have to put up with
on a daily basis..bush won't face the facts on anything..

You may well ask.. "what's he smoking that makes his sic administration such a rosy cozy place to be?"..

We're working hard on getting him out, though, so we won't have to ask questions like this much longer!

4. We'll get him out-
IF (and it's a BIG "IF") we're the "free country" we claim to be, and haven't descended to the level of a third-rate banana republic, with stolen elections and "Presidents for life"!

Listening to The Beatles right now-it helps!

3. Solipsistic!!
Had to look that one up!

"The theory that the self is the only thing that can be known and verified.
The theory or view that the self is the only reality."

I'm not sure it really fits him because I'm not sure he knows what reality means...not even for himself.

Joe Lockhart used it yesterday on one of the talking chucklehead shows (Crossfire?), and sent the right wing dimwit scurrying off for a dictionary.

Heck, I had to look the word up myself. I could just see people driving down the road, trying to find something to write with, write on, and somehow copy the word down, (to look it up later) without driving off the road! LOL.

22. The last bastion of metaphysical debate.
First postulated by Socrates: What if nothing in our world is real? What if this is all just a dream we will wake up from, or what if this was all just created a second ago but was made to look really really old.

she said that Bush is so hated there, that many questioned WHY she'd want to come to the US for a vacation! She explained that the people in America were quite wonderful, even if Bush was an asshole. Nice that we're so well loved.. Thanks Bush!

16. Only Drunkards & children (& Poland) shall tell you the truth
I mean, can it boiled down to anything more simple than this:

<i>The Polish nationalist daily Nasz Dzinnik said Bush was trying to get the international community to pay for his "reckless policy" in the Middle East, forgetting that "he attacked Iraq in defiance of the UN position."</i>

And this is even from one of the Coalition countries & a nationalistic newspaper, who I would assume would be a bit more pro-war.

Check out the link below. It's an article at The Nation that shows just how the Poles feel about Bush.

http://www.thenation.com/doc.mhtml?i=20041004&s=ost

I traveled to Poland this summer. I met some relatives, and they weren't happy with Bush and interested in knowing how we felt about him. Also, Fahrenheit 9/11 was playing while I was there and I saw some posters and graffiti protesting Bush and the war.

No words are necessary for what you are about to see. Another DUer posted a link (luckily I bookmarked it). Warning! Some photos are graphic:

32. It's not smart to interfer in another countries election...
So even if Europe and most of the world can't stand the Bush administration they're not going to endorse Kerry openly. It's just good business. (Imagine if Bush won knowing the him for the little petty shit he is)

Of course that doesn't stop Bush and the rest of the morons commenting on other countries elections like they did in Spain.

Why does the world see this President for what he is while too many here give him a pass? The Media in this country has allowed this to happen and that makes them as evil as Bush.
