Bush And Kerry Are Deadlocked Again Heading Into First Debate On Thursday
http://www.investors.com/editorial/general.asp?v=9/29

<snip>

The race for the White House once again appears to be a dead heat, with Americans evenly split between those who would re-elect President Bush and those who want Sen. John Kerry.

The latest IBD/TIPP poll, conducted Sept. 22 to 27, shows Bush and Kerry each with 45% in a three-way race among likely voters. Independent Ralph Nader gets just 2%.

Removing Nader from the mix, Kerry leads 46%-45%. Among registered voters, both get 44%.

3. Why does this never make the mainstream press?....
MSNBC's website has the lead story being about Bush's lead in 3 polls. CNN.com is also all a flutter about Shrub's apparent lead.

They literally pick only the polls that make Shrub seem like the winner. They are trying to discourage democrats and encourage independents to vote for the "winner".

I wish some of these real polls would make the news.

4. Salon takes on Gallup today
You may need to watch an ad to get a free daily pass.

Unknown to me at least was the fact that Gallup is an evangelical christian and his methodology is very questionable.

15. They Intend to Steal the Election -- Some Pollsters are In On It
They know that results that are way different from the polls are suspect,
especially if they are obtained on Diebold Republican Electing (DRE) Voting Machinez.
They need some polls showing Boosh well ahead to pull off the heist.
They have them.

They will try to steal Florida, Maryland, and Ohio, at least.

Repubs own the entire apparatus of state government in Ohio and Florida.
They can do anything they want to the vote tabulators and all our lawyers
and poll watchers won't be able to do a thing about it.
There will be no recounts, because they won't let it be "close".

They could even deliver those states to Boosh by legislative action
if theft doesn't work.

Maryland is all-DRE and they now have "polls" showing the state even.
They merely have to load rob-maryland.zip into their Diebold machinez
and we're done in MD. truevotemd was taking them to court, but without
success so far. Have they exhausted their appeals?

7. btw, those are the swing state polls by Gallup
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 09:23 AM by slinkerwink
which totally contradicts their national polls.

How can Gallup......have Bush up by 13 nationwide, when he's only up by 2 points among Florida RVs?--and according to their own poll!
How can Gallup.....have Bush up by 13 nationwide, when he's only up by 2 points among Nevada RVs?--again, according to their own poll <...>

How can Gallup.....have Bush up by 13 nationwide, when he's only leading in Montana by 18 points? (in 2000, Bush won Montana by 25 points)

How can Gallup.....have Bush up by 13 nationwide, when he's behind Kerry by 15 points in California and 20 points in New York?

How can Gallup.....have Bush tied in the solid blue states (that is, the non-battleground blue states, so WI, MN, IO etc aren't included), when he is trailing Kerry by 15 points in California and 20 points in New York?

How can Gallup.....have Bush up by 13, when he's only leading among independents by 2 (and that was exactly Bush's margin among independents in 2000 when, as you recall, he did not win the popular vote by 13 points)?

16. Gallup: invalid on its face
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 01:36 PM by cmorea
(disclaimer: my memory may have failed on some minor details here)

I read this morning an article by Gene Lyons about the Gallup poll that shows a shrub lead. When asked who they voted for last time, it was like 38% chimp, low twenties for Gore!! As we all know, Gore won like 48.5 to 48.

Gallup had the chimp up by 13 two weeks before the 2000 election. Then still up by mid single digits right before dumbya lost by half a million votes.

Edit: here's the link to that article...

http://moose-and-squirrel.com/gene/gene.html

Check it and see how my memory was. Lots of other interesting stuff about the bogus nature of some polls.

10. no polls needed
Bush is the worst president ever, he sucks, and the media's attempt to cover up how much he sucks will ultimately fail, and he'll be booted out.

14. This is not good. It is more evidence of poll manipulation.
I have a hunch that these polls are tightening up now so that a "clear winner" can be determined by subsequent polls. All the pollsters have do to engineer a victory for * is return to their previous flawed methodology, and * "wins."

17. Deadlocked amongst braindead voters, perhaps.
Anyone without shit for brains is not voting for Bush. I don't need no stinkin' polls to tell me that. Pay not attention to the curtain called the media.
