Kerry to add Russia to the new "axis of evil"
10/11/2004 18:38
The team of the president creates the policy of the president

Dem. Senator John Kerry will most likely announce the existence of the new "axis of evil," embracing Iran, Russia and North Korea. According to the senator, the nuclear possessions of these countries pose the most dangerous threat to the national security of the United States.

It is an open secret that the team of the president creates the policy of the president. Richard Holbrooke, the US ambassador to the United Nations, and Mark Brzezinski, the son of Zbigniew Brzezinski, presented their recommendations regarding the future relations between Russia and the USA after the presidential election.

Likely not news, since it's likely not true.

13. Who is "they?"
Pravda is a sensationalist rag--they will say anything to get attention and readers.

8. Nowadays, Pravda is little more than...
...the Russian equivalent of the "Weekly World News." This probably appears next to their story on how The Amazing Bat Boy is really the son of Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster.

9. Sensationalist Piece written to get the attention of Russians
It was first written in Russian.

What is hidden behind the security of the Russian nuclear materials? Russia is a sovereign state, which means that it does not need help either from the incumbent, or from the future US administration. It is not clear, why American politicians think that they should control the security of nuclear objects in the Russian Federation.

Russia was a sovereign state before, but they still haven't cleaned up their backyard. They dumped tons of nuclear waste (good enough for dirty bomb) in the Stans. The Stans are now sovereign states, and actually it's none of Russia's business if we help them or not.

Here's his point:
The Democratic nominee believes that the Kremlin violates democratic norms, suppresses the opposition, interferes in the affairs of allied states and poses a potential nuclear threat to the USA. This situation is very reminiscent of the Iraqi problem, which was formed two years ago.

It's quite a stretch and does not support the title "Kerry to add Russia to the new axis of evil".

14. Putin went after the oligarchs
and the oligarchs are tied in with the Rothschild banking dynasty based in London. The ongoing manifestation of this struggle is the battle between the Kremlin and Yukos Oil.

The Rothschilds supposedly support Kerry against *. So there would be the conspiracy theory behind this one. I can think of no other reason why Putin would ever help prop up *, but he has done so on a couple of occasions.

16. the oligarchs = friends and family of Yeltsin, so where does "Rothschild"
get in the conversation -

except of course the Russian people have been taught for centuries to blame Jews for whatever screw up the folks in power have made.

But I thought the Russians were becoming a bit smarter post the Stalin era.

Given the "Rothschild banking dynasty", maybe they are not getting smarter. Heck, half the US thinks Bush is a good guy!

:-)

20. I can't think of any of the so-called oligarchs
in Russia who are not Jewish. There probably are some. Of couse, some have had to flee the country such as Boris Berezovsky, who may even live in England now. This does not mean that Jews are to blame for all of Russia's problems.

But I would encourage anyone to research the oligarchs and their backgrounds. I am just pointing out a fact. It doesn't mean there are no greedy gentiles in Russia or anywhere else. Greed is the problem here, not ethnic origin.

Putin did not begin to get a universally bad press in the U.S. until the Kremlin made moves to seize Yukos Oil. ExxonMobil was about to buy half of it from the oligarch Khodorkovsky. Next thing we heard was that Khodorkovsky had been arrested and charged with fraud and tax evasion.

Since that time, Putin has been undergoing demonization in the U.S. media. as being "anti-democratic" when in reality he is no more so than * has been since 9-11. I am against either of them being anti-democratic, but I am also going to point out when the pot is calling the kettle black.

19. Checnia?
I don't even know if that is how it is spelled but that is where the rub comes in. Kerry isn't likely to give Putin as big a blank check to deal with that problem as Bush does.

After all, Kerry doesn't tend to make too many decisions based on looking into someone's eyes and deciding they are soulmates, a la Dubya and Vlad.

Russia has to deal with us in the future and Putin would much rather the devil he knows be in office. Compared to the former KGB head, Bush is a total moron with no understanding of the world beyond his ranch. Kerry would have to be dealt with like an equal head of state.

I wonder if Diebold has set up voting machines in Moscow?
