VIENNA, Austria (AP) -- Reconsidering its hard line on Iran, the United States is weighing the idea of rewarding the Islamic republic if it gives up technology that can be used for nuclear arms, diplomats and U.S. officials said Tuesday.

The diplomats, who spoke to The Associated Press from Vienna and another European capital, said senior European negotiators directly answerable to their foreign ministers planned to go to Washington this week for discussions with top U.S. State Department officials on a common Iran strategy

1. Didn't Kerry suggest this during the debate?
"However, the official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the Bush administration was prepared to consider with the Europeans a package of incentives.

The package of incentives will be discussed at a meeting Friday at the State Department by European envoys with Undersecretary of State John R. Bolton and either Secretary of State Colin Powell or Deputy Secretary Richard Armitage, a U.S. official said."

With hardass Bolton involved I doubt anything will come of the meeing.

4. Stinkin' bastards! Again!
First they say JK's four step plan for settling Iraq down was theirs all along, when the whole world excluding repukes knew that the shrub's plan was "stay the course". Now the a-holes are going to steal his plan to settle down Iran.
JK should just make some weird shit up...like sending a delegation of clowns in a tiny little car to loosen things up in Pyongyang and "leak the plan" to the repukes.

6. Kerry should nail him on it!
"Mr. pResident ... It's come to my attention that you've decided to use my plan for dealing with Iran. I'm very flattered, sir. But may I suggest to the American people ... if pResident Bush is going to take my suggestions on foreign policy, then perhaps it would serve the country better if we just cut out the middle man and let me run the country!"

5. The problem with the traditional client-state model, whoever implements it

is that it is like an old computer on which today's software won't run, and today's web pages won't load.
