Keys to the Senate in...KENTUCKY?!?!?
This story from CNN doesn't tell the half of it...a recent poll showed Bunning(R) and Mongiardo(D) tied in what was supposed to be a cakewalk for Bunning. He's really cracking up. Opinion pages all over Kentucky are attacking Bunning. We've got a huge opportunity to pickup a "Red" seat for the next six years...but not if his campaign doesn't get some money...they haven't even hit 300K yet, while Bunning has 3M.

Mongiardo closing finance gap in Ky.
LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (AP) -- The Senate Democrats' fund-raising committee has pumped hundreds of thousands of dollars into Daniel Mongiardo's campaign in hopes of springing an upset against Sen. Jim Bunning.
Bunning, a Republican seeking a second term, still holds a commanding fund-raising advantage, and his campaign manager expressed confidence the baseball Hall of Famer will notch another victory on November 2.
Mongiardo's campaign has gotten a financial boost in recent days when it received $466,000 in "coordinated" dollars from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee -- the maximum allowed by federal law.
(snip)
Yet Bunning's own behavior has opened him to attacks.
Bunning used a TelePrompTer for his opening and closing statements while appearing via satellite for his only scheduled debate with Mongiardo.
During the debate, Bunning apologized for having said months ago that
Mongiardo looked like one of Saddam Hussein's sons. After the debate, Bunning claimed that Mongiardo's staff was involved in a physical altercation with Bunning's wife months ago at a political picnic. Mongiardo dismissed the allegation.
