Blair admits – yes, I’ve met Kerry
AFTER months of embarrassed silence over links with US Democrats, Downing Street finally admitted yesterday that Tony Blair had twice met John Kerry, who is challenging the Prime Minister’s war ally President Bush for the Oval Office.

The disclosure suggests that Mr Blair may be hedging his bets on the outcome of the US elections.

Previously the Government has raised no objection to claims, repeated on both sides of the Atlantic, that Mr Blair had “never met” the Democratic presidential candidate.

Attempts to arrange formal talks during the Prime Minister’s visit to Washington at Easter foundered on “scheduling difficulties”.

This was widely regarded as convenient for both Mr Blair, who did not wish to damage his alliance with Mr Bush, and the Kerry campaign, that was anxious to highlight domestic issues ahead of foreign policy. But on Monday, the Prime Minister told a press conference: “It’s not correct actually that I haven’t met him (Kerry). But I think it’s best that I stay out of that, particularly at the moment.”

1. Too late for Blair to avoid getting his nuts in a wringer
Bush demands Blair support him, Blair scared Kerry is going to win, and nobody respects a pretense of impartiality. Fuck you, Tony.

12. And he helped to screw us....
I think Tony was getting his marching orders from BP. He could have taken the high road and supported the UN and a sane policy in Iraq and the ME. Instead, he threw his lot in with Bush.

3. This is actually a good sign
I think it means that Blair's inner circle considers there is a strong chance that Kerry will win next Tuesday and is now tacitly moving to forge links with the new Administration

7. I liked this bit
One aide said: “If Kerry wants to rebuild America’s international alliances, his first call will be to Tony Blair who has spent the last two years trying to keep the multilateral route open. Our experience shows that he won’t find it easy, but he certainly won’t be able to do it without us.”

Of course, that aide is WRONG. The FIRST call should be to CANADA. That is our TRADITION. They are our BEST AND CLOSEST FRIENDS. Hey, neighbor, howdafuckareya!! Chimpy broke this long-standing American tradition because he was pissed at Chretien, and called Vicente Fox instead, strictly to pee on the tree and make HIS point. Childish asshole.

Quite frankly, I knew then that we were gonna have trouble. There are some things you just do NOT do.

8.  Poor Tony
When he palled around with the Big Dog, I always thought he was a pretty neat guy...but he and the other rationalizing Brits like madman Christopher Hitchens have destoyed their own credibility...too bad Howard got re-elected, or else we could have a sweep...kicking out every weak-kneed leader who propped up Shrub.

14. I feel bad for the Brits
They threw their lot in with a loser, out of loyalty to us as a nation, and the history of good relations in the last century. Look at the special relationship--FDR, Ike, Kennedy, Reagan (Thatcher's true love) and of course, BIG DOG were high points for them in the love affair. They DID pony up troops. But now, like everyone else that weecowboy deals with, they are feeling date raped, duped, denied, disrespected, disregarded and dumped.

Of course, I feel happy for France. Especially since Kerry already has a warm personal relationship with the head honcho over there. Ooooh la la! We Americans will be able to TRAVEL AGAIN without SHAME!!!

..But I think it's best that I stay out of that,...

Rt.Hon.Blair, please, you've already put your goddam foot right in
it, so at least come out and say something like, "Naturally, the
labour party has been long standing supporters of the democratic
challenger."

He has subverted his own party, and is too much of an egotist to
admit it in public, for fear of his own fallout... Blair, dude,
i thought you were a public servant FIRST? What happened, when
did you succumb to cowardly greasy backroom subversion of your
own party and similar politics across the atlantic.

At this point, he should make a deniably subtle endorsement, just
to clarify his intent based on his heinous support for criminal
fascism.

13. Tony could have been the world statesman to Bush's imperialistic
designs on the world. Instead, he became Bush's puppy. Too bad, Tony. You enabled the boy king and undercut the opposition to this unethical and immoral attack on Iraq. You've lost my support and admiration by caving to the boy-king.

16. You are absolutely right about that
He could have been the voice of reason that kept the kook in check. Instead, he went along while weecowboy told the press that they both used the same kind of toothpaste (Colgate, as I recall). Heh, heh, heh...heheheheh...I can't WAIT for the day when we do not have to hear that disgusting, vapid laugh.

I always wondered why weewee was going through Tony's shaving kit at Camp David. It seemed a bit....ambiguous, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Tony could have at least done a vague eye roll, but instead, he rolled over for a belly scratch.

He never used to be like this.

27. Britain's nuclear arms are american made and "guided"
The blackmail was to turn off the guidance for the british nuclear
deterrent making billions of money invested worthless, and making
britain instantly a nuclear power without any delivery capability.

I'm sure when the EU completes its galaleo GPS competitor, and
britain has its own nuclear missiles, then the threat would be
nullified.

So i understand his position, at the time of the war, he would have
faced serious uprisings from within the arms-industry and the
military when the pukes pushed with such insistance that the arms
were over there.

Then again, it was tony who ignored the wise and overwhelming advise
of smarter people than his own cabinet, to abstain from war. He
even saw the bullying going on from the bush people, but chose to
ignore all evidence... no he's no innocent, a fully complicit liar.

32. I'm sure it came down to a cheque
In bush's position at the time, clearly tony had a price he was
willing to accept, and bush just wrote him a cheque. Plutocracy
has outweighed democratic interest. Tony has proved, that its just
about business.

parties, I'm pretty sure the chimp and his minions had the poodle just where they wanted him.

That seems to be their M.O.: Make sure you have pictures of every powerful government leader/official in a compromising position with a young boy (or girl) slave. George I, George II, Jeb and Neil have indeed "left no child behind". That's how they control one another... blackmail.

33. Deny-ers and the Denying Denials They Deny

...on Monday, the Prime Minister told a press conference: “It’s not correct, actually, that I haven’t met...(Kerry). But I think it’s best that I stay out of that, particularly at the moment.”
I've heard of non-denial denials. This is the exact opposite--a denying non-denial!

Sources close to Mr. Blair still believe that Mr. Bush will win a second term next week, not least because of their admiration for the ruthlessness of the Republican election machine.
Admiration? Well, that's what we get for throwing their tea into a harbor that happens to be in Kerry's home state!
