Bush's composite lead fell from 3.9 to 0.9
UPDATED 10/27: National Presidential Poll Composites
Ron Faucheux, Oct 27, 2004

Current Composite Average of National Polls:

ANALYSIS: Something appears to have happened in the last few days. Bush's composite lead fell from 3.9 to 0.9 -- putting him back to about where he was right after the first debate. If Bush's lead springs back up in the next day or two, this one-day average may have been just a temporary polling blip that can be discounted; but if it holds or worsens for Bush, it could be the beginning of a break toward Kerry. The Big Ten Edge (see below) has slightly shifted to Kerry's benefit for the first time. Could it be that the Democratic base solidified, pressing Bush's margins and pushing Kerry's numbers higher? We'll see in the next few days. Of the 12 polls today's national polling composite was based on, 6 have Bush leading, 3 have Kerry leading and 3 are tied.
