Early voters flock to polls in droves (CO)
Early voters continued pouring into polling places across Colorado on Tuesday, joining the quarter-million residents who have already cast ballots.

Statewide, up to 60 percent of Colorado's 3,065,227 registered voters are expected to cast absentee ballots or vote early, said Lisa Doran, a spokeswoman for the secretary of state.

---

At the Safeway at Evans Avenue and Downing Street, the line stretched down the frozen-food aisle, as voters waited for their turn at one of three voting booths.

The latest available figures, compiled Friday, indicated that 159,306 people statewide had cast absentee ballots and 102,261 had voted early. Early voting ends Friday, which is also the last day to request absentee ballots.

But Republicans have recommnded that their voters cast absentee ballots rather than rely on electronic voting this time around.

6. Fremontn County
Our county clerk in Fremont County said that 2/3 of our voters either requested absentee ballots or have already voted. Every democratic voter we contact in canvassing says they already voted, or are absolutely going to do so Tuesday. We're a Repug county, and we expect to get 45-48% for Kerry, and win the Senate race here. (Gore took 35%).
