US is losing Iraq war: Powell

LAHORE: Secretary of State Colin Powell has privately confided to friends in recent weeks that the Iraqi insurgents are winning the war, Salon.com quoted Newsweek as having reported.

The insurgents have succeeded in infiltrating Iraqi forces “from top to bottom,” a senior Iraqi official told Newsweek in its Monday’s issue, “from decision making to the lower levels”.

We lost the war already! The only thing that remains is for someone in the White House to tell the American people the truth and to bring all of the troops home, immediately and unconditionally.

I hope a President Kerry does not repeat the same mistakes of his arch-enemy Richard Nixon, and tries to win a victory in an unwinnable war. History could repeat itself!
