Bush votes and calls for decisive end to election (LOL)
CRAWFORD, United States (AFP) - President George W. Bush (news - web sites) voted confident of securing a new four-year term, but expressed concern that the US presidential election result must be decided quickly.

"My hope, of course, is this election ends tonight," said Bush who had to wait 36 days to know the winner in the 2000 election when the Democrats' Al Gore (news - web sites) won the popular vote but the Republican secured more votes on the Electoral College (news - web sites) that decides the presidency.

"I think it's very important for it to end tonight. The world watches our great democracy function, and be nothing better for our system for the election to be conclusively over tonight."

With polls showing Bush and current Democratic challenger John Kerry (news - web sites) in a neck-and-neck race, Bush was to make a campaign stop in Ohio as he returned from voting in Texas to the White House.

10. From the article
Bush also sent his regards to Kerry. "I wish him all the best. He and I are in the exact same position. We have given it our all. I'm sure he has happy, like I am, the campaign has come to a conclusion."

What a retard!

13. I'm sure he does want it over tonight
No matter which way it swings today, don't count on knowing who the new president will be until the lawsuits stop.

The only possible way we can avoid months of lawsuits is if it's a total landslide one way or another....

Be prepared to fight this thing to it's conclusion, people. Dig in like a tick and don't back down. Gore's mistake #1.

What wasn't posted in that article were Dick Cheny's comments, and I quote in a sinister daffy duck voice, "Muhahahaha! Muahahaha!"

16. What about the overseas military vote, Shrub???
Don't you remember all the chest thumping about how the Dems were denying the military the right to have their absentee ballots counted? Especially in Florida, where they've got an additional 10 days to arrive, just as long as they're postmarked by today.

Of course, if you end the count tonight you blow off counting all the provisional votes, most of which occur in Democratic precincts.

Sorry, Shrub, this time you're not going to get away with being declared (or declaring yourself) winner before ALL the votes have been counted. Like you said, "Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice - uh, uh -- can't get fooled again!"

17. He knows something

I think the fix is in...They will steal Florida, Hawaii and New Jersey...Bush knows its fixed and he's appealing to "let it end tonight" as a way to tell Democrats to "get over it" ... don't fight the fact we've rigged the election.

Any other reason he'd be making statements like he is making?

31. I've kept my radio dial tuned to Air America Radio
all day. I've heard reports of record crowds showing up to vote. It's just unbelievable.

I really don't believe the Wrongpublicans were counting on this. They had NO idea that the Americans, at long last, were going to take back their country.

No clue. Their little heads will be spinning by tomorrow morning.
