Funding Strategic Nuclear Force high on Defense Ministry agenda
MOSCOW. Nov 4 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry is giving priority to financing the country's Strategic Nuclear Forces and equipping it with advanced weapons and military hardware, Alexei Moskovsky, deputy defense minister for army procurement, told Interfax on Thursday.

"Sustaining the Strategic Nuclear Force at its required level and providing it with weapons, military hardware and special-purpose equipment as a priority are among the main tasks of the Russian Defense Ministry," Moskovsky said.

4. Some went missing...
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, some of them were stolen....probably by former Soviet Republics...and a few to the balck market. The US and UN did a decent job tracking down some and the US started paying Russia to give them to us....since they really needed money and coul;dn't protect them that well. Of course, W cut the funds for that so we really don't know where things stand.

5. Hopefully, those ones don't work anymore
But you never know. I suppose lots of people would have liked to have had a look at the technology.

6. Yeah, I think they had a pretty short shelf life....
But the expiration date doesn't always mean the milk smells bad.

7. THey flew a hypersonic drone
Hope our SDI can bring down a mach 4 cruise missle with roughly the radar profile of a toaster.

Otherwise our new nuke program will have opened a serious pandora's box.
