Norway won't take Guantanamo inmates
http://www.aftenposten.no/english/local/article906025.ece

Norwegian authorities reportedly have refused to take in 20 Chinese nationals who have been held by the US at its controversial prisoner-of-war camp at Guantanamo in Cuba. The US claims they don't constitute a terror threat.

China has been demanding that the US send the 20 men, taken prisoner as alleged Islamic terrorists, back to China. They are originally from Xinjiang Province.

The men, however, face long prison terms or death sentences in China. The US therefore has been asking other countries, including Norway, to take them in.

<edit> Chineese????? I never heard this!

2. I have already started working
getting that collaborationist government out next election. They are so pro-US because they're a coalition of two of the conservative parties (who get hardons thinking about Reagan, tho the Repukes would never let them in - they have a gay as finance minister) and the Christian People's party, who are very, very pro-Israel. They're polling lower than they ever have. The anti-war socialist left party and the labor party seems to be the two parties that will win big next election (at least 45% - while the 3 parties of the coalition government have about 15%....)

6. Oh yes, they must be thrown out.
There's no other choice. Especially not when the fundies in the Christian People's party (the party of the prime minister) is salivating over Karl Rove's achievements.

I am sad and ashamed to say that Karl Rove is actually of Norwegian descent. :(

7. I have somewhat distant relations in the Rove/Ravna branch.
It's a gene pool that shames me, even by remote association.

11. Yeah, I posted the info that Rove is of Norwegian descent
on another thread here today. I am really, really sorry we foisted this problem over to you. If he'd been born here, he wouldn't have done nearly as much harm to the world - we have a multi-party system, to begin with, so a totalitarian regime is a tad more difficult.
