U.S. Bombs Falluja, Rebels Strike in Samarra, Ramadi

<snip>In Samarra, a suicide car bomber rammed into a police station and three car bombs exploded elsewhere in the city. Insurgents also attacked three other police stations.

Police said the onslaught had killed 34 people, including 19 police, two Iraqi National Guards, two members of an Iraqi Rapid Reaction Force and 11 civilians. They said 43 people had been wounded, 28 of them members of the security forces.

"I saw a dead National Guard burning on the ground," said one witness after the first bombings.

"I saw a car trying to reach the town hall," said bookshop owner Mohammed Ahmed. "When police stopped it, it exploded."

In Baghdad, a powerful explosion struck the main airport road, destroying what appeared to be a Humvee military vehicle, witnesses said, but there was no word on casualties.

who never were..... how dumb is that? Well... you know the U.S. has always needed an "enemy" otherwise it could not endure... in fact, that is what one Russian diplomat told our state dept when they disbanded...

So while we're bombing Fallujah to hell, reducing a hospital to rubble while we're trying to hit....shit, who is it we're after today? I can't keep up. Anyway, while we bomb Fallujah the rebels move their little enterprise to Samara, Baghdad and Ramadi.

What's that? We "stormed" Samara a month ago? Gonna need a "do-over" on that one. As soon as we finish turning Fallujah into a moonscape of course. By that time the rebels will have set up shop back in Fallujah....

I gotta tell ya', if I were fighting an invading army that's the way I'd do it. Who's the captain(sic) of this Ship of Fools?
