Muslim Groups Urge Iraqis to Abandon Falluja Assault
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Muslim leaders urged members of Iraq (news - web sites)'s fledgling security forces on Monday to refuse to fight alongside U.S. troops storming the rebel-held city of Falluja, where Iraqi units have deserted in the past.

~snip~

"We have called on the Iraqi National Guard, army and police not to participate with the occupation forces in attacking Falluja," Sadr spokesman Abdul Hadi al-Darraji told Reuters.

~snip~

Last time U.S. forces tried to take Falluja in April some Iraqi units refused to fight and the assault failed.

~snip~

But Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told a news conference desertions were a problem.

Resistance seizes control of downtown areas of al-Qa’im and al-Hadithah.

London Sunday tTimes:
The Resistance told the conservative British paper that they
had surface-to-air missiles with which to counter attacks
by helicopter gunships.
They also said that a number of missiles had been tipped
with deadly chemicals including cyanide. One said these
would be fired at American forces from their rear.
“We have created a rear position, mainly outside al-Fallujah,
that will provide assistance to the fighters inside once the
battle starts,” the commander told the Times.

The Resistance cut the roads leading to the city at
11:15pm Sunday night, depriving them of fuel

Iraqi Resistance forces shot down a US Chinook helicopter

7. The site I quote gets hacked alot, maddezmom
You can understand why.

But these reports always appear w/in days
at:

www.uruknet.info.

I guess by then that the news would be discussion
instead of LBN.

November 9, 2004 - In case you were wondering why
the hospital at Fallujah is a "legitimate military target", this is
how the US military justifies it:

The US military said insurgents had been in control of
Fallujah General Hospital – located on the west bank of
the Euphrates – and were “forcing the doctors there to
release propaganda and false
information”.
It underlined in a statement that when hospitals “are used
for military purposes they lose … protected
status”.

html

So, you see, the doctors of Fallujah hospital are now
liberated and no longer have to release "propaganda and
false information" like civilian casualty numbers.
Undoubtedly, the Liberated Doctors of Fallujah will now
release statements of gratitude and we'll hear harrowing tales
of their captivity while in the clutches of the Resistance.

10. Believe your gut instincts
Edited on Tue Nov-09-04 09:21 AM by jmcgowanjm
If it excites you, there's alot of truth.
If boring, alot of lies.

Consistency and detail is truth.

When you're telling the truth, you don't have to keep
up w/, remember what you said.

Ex-a couple of days ago the US said a Ramadi convoy
explosion injured 20 troops.

Now how would this be possible w no deaths
unless all injured were gathered around the
the explosion at a distance.

125 attacks a day, "only 7-12 deaths US"
When convoys attacked, only Iraqis die.
and on and on.

6. If those Iraqis get themselves
some GPS jammers,
which are very readily availible,
they won't be strafed.

Naturally, the USAF isn't going to like that idea very much.
But then again, I don't get the impression they admired a certain bulge, either.
