Frye tells rivals to stop 'shenanigans' (Repubs sue to stop SD Dem mayor?)

Frye calls on rivals to stop post-election 'shenanigans'

Write-in San Diego mayoral candidate Donna Frye called on Mayor Dick Murphy and County Supervisor Ron Roberts on Monday to help put a stop to what she says are post-election "shenanigans."

The surf shop owner, who launched her write-in bid six weeks ago, is upset over speculation that the legality of the election will be challenged in court.

"I am prepared to fight these challenges on behalf of the public so that democracy and justice may prevail," Frye said.

This is exactly like the recall. The Republicans lost the San Diego Mayor's office to the vote of the people, and now they are going to try to sue to steal it from the Democratic winner using technicalities and courts. That's if they don't find a way to steal it during the vote counting.

Republicans in California follow now laws, no rules, no ethics, and no morals. The California Democratic Party needs to use these anti-Democratic activities by the Republicans to undermine the Republican "brand" and hurt them at the polls.

Republicans are always building up their brand and tearing down Democrats and Democrats refuse to stand up and do the same thing in return!

It's time to fight!

2. what am I missing?
It looks like Frye is up by a bit less than 4,000 votes, and there are still 162,000 absentee and provisional outstanding.

Is Murphy the facist thug?
He said
"In my opinion it would be in the best interest for everyone to let the vote count be completed before people began considering legal options,"

... which seems like a very reasonable position considering how many votes have yet to be counted.

but I think it's Ron Roberts who is behind this. He's been a whiny little punk ass throughout this whole thing.

5. Roberts has trying to be the mayor for 20+ years and the voters
Edited on Tue Nov-09-04 02:45 AM by maveric
dont want him.
He'd be just like Murphy, a do-nothing monkey boy for the land developers.
Fuck him and all the pasty white whiny repugs ala Pete Wilson and Roger Hedgecock, that have ruled and raped this beautiful city for decades!
I'll take to the streets if they block Donna Frye's election.

7. They've already basically said that if she wins they will sue to steal it
They only want to "count the votes" if it means a Republican wins.

If a Democrat wins after the votes are counted, they plan to sue and try to steal the election.

What is there to "miss" in that?

6. But according to the Repubs
they don't like to challenge elections.

Aren't they the ones who always tell the Dems to just get over it, accept the fact that they (the Dems) have lost?

Why the change?

They (the Repubs) only think they have the right to challenge an election.
