Powell, Fox ready to talk about legal status for aliens in U.S.
By GEORGE GEDDA
Associated Press Writer

MEXICO CITY - After almost four years of minimal progress, Secretary of State Colin Powell says prospects are improving for congressional action to grant legal status to millions of undocumented aliens in the United States.

The immigration issue was high on Powell's agenda Tuesday as he headed into talks with President Vicente Fox and other senior Mexican officials.

He said it wasn't shocking that people in the region are beginning to make different choices when they go to the polls if they haven't seen the kind of progress they were expecting.

As an example of the leftist trend, he cited the election two years ago of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, but he said Silva "has been acting quite responsibly with respect to economic and fiscal policy."

1. The GOP's next gripe: Saucer people voting illegally for Democrats
I tell you, they just might jump on it as an issue.

And the Press will happily go along with it.

more frequently in the media? One has to guess that he is assiduously sucking on Chimpy's* a** to make up and be allowed to stay on in his office. I will not be too surprised at that. This guy has not an iota of principle in him.

5. Of course illegal aliens will be given permission to work here legally.
That will act to increase competition for the few remaining jobs, and thus hold down wages, while increasing profits.

Take it to the bank.

Aren't applications for US citizenship put on a fast-track
