Teacher finds anti-Bush stickers get tires slashed

Political tempers are running hot even after the election. On Saturday, Gary Jimenez discovered two tires slashed on his Volvo station wagon with its four anti-Bush bumper stickers. Lest he miss the point, the vandals left a note on the windshield that said: "We voted . . . Now you can either move to another country (maybe France, Germany, Iran or Pakistan will take you) or stop your whiney belly aching. This country was founded by righteous God-fearing men of integrity like George W. Bush. Now, take off these bumper stickers. We don't want to see them again."

Jimenez's immediate reaction was to add two more pro-Kerry stickers, including: "Let's Kerry Bush out of the White House."

Jimenez, a Clairemont High School teacher, had anticipated some reaction but was disappointed that it went so far.

"Free speech is an important value in America," he said. "I was trying to make people think. I wouldn't attack someone's car over their bumper stickers."

I have heard this phase before-the Brownshirting of America but I do not undersatand it. I know that in WWII the German SS wore brown shirts but the connect is not there for me. Thanks in advance for any clarification

Until they were supressed during the night of the long knives in 1934, they were a paramilitary organization that acted as the military forces of the NSDAP.

I always thought of them as the logical next step from the Freikorps, only instead of being dedicated to Ludendorf in street combat against the communists, the SA was dedicated to Hitler - untli they had outlived their usefulness.

They had to go if the Army was to support Hitler. Think of them as street toughs and brawlers wearing uniforms.

Brownshirts were supposed to turn in fellow germans who didn't "toe the line".

I drive past a private school every day on my way to work and the "Soccer Parent" gas guzzlers in front were littered with "W" and */Chenney sticker in the past weeks. This week, I haven't seen a one. Either the morons are more polite here or they know that they are in the minority in this state.....

Now that they've stolen the election, the righties are stumbling all over themselves to tell us to "shut up!" It's funny how little their USA resembles the USA envisioned by those so-called God-fearing forefathers of ours.

Their precept of "rightness" requires cooperation and obediance to a leader, who is in turn controlled by divine law. Sadly, this idea is not rooted in reality, as it does not calculate for those who refuse to obey such a leader - especially if he is as unprincipled as George W. Bush. We see an unprincipled man, while they see a man fortified with firmness and unwavering strength - his followers cannot comprehend our unwillingness to follow their strong leader, therefore, we are classified as "weak." Maintaining such an illusion is fundamental to the right.

When these men assume entire control of all aspects of existence, do not be surprised if their detractors are among the first ones to suffer for their outspokenness.

GO FOR IT, but it doesn't make an impact. Most people are too fuckin lazy to even wash their cars, much less notice a scratch. I found the best way is a simple one. Find a good nazi symbol on the net, the classic red background, white circle, black swastika, copy it, resize it to a nice size, then start runnin' off copies on adhesive paper. cut 'em out, and go taggin. slap that sticker right up next the the B/C decals or whatever other fascist propaganda they have going on ("POWER OF PRIDE", "THESE COLORS DONT RUN OR BURN", "N.R.A.", etc.) it looks great, tells it like it is, and again, half the time they dont notice anyways.

Fuck 'Em.
