Santorum's(PA) residency questioned (Over Cyber School his kids)
http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-review/trib/tribeast/s_271582.html

The Penn Hills School Board is investigating U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum's residency to determine whether the district must continue paying cyber charter school tuition for his children.

School board member Erin Vecchio, chairwoman of the local Democratic Committee, requested the probe this week after learning the district has paid more than $100,000 since 1997 to educate Santorum's children via the online Western Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School in Midland, Beaver County. Santorum, a Republican, owns a two-bedroom home in Penn Hills. He lives with his wife and six children in Virginia, outside of Washington, D.C.

"He may be a taxpayer, but he's not a resident," said Vecchio.

14. Don't badmouth sloths either -- they're sweet-natured and gentle
http://www.slothclub.org/pages/library/articles/dailyyomiuri08nov.htm

What is so special about sloths?

The club focuses on the three-toed variety, known for its gentle temperament. They spend much of the day hanging asleep from the branches of trees. According to one study, the creatures sleep about 20 hours a day -- longer than any other mammal. Not surprisingly, this chronic inaction means the mellow leafeating sloth consumes little energy. They have the remarkable environmentally friendly habit of placing fallen leaves on top of their excrement at the foot of their trees to create a rich mixture that helps nourish the trees. Sloths dislike conflict, and each group peacefully coexists with others by living separately in sparsely scattered forest locales. Even when young sloths become independent, they are encouraged by their parents to use part of the literal family tree.

I believe it was stillborn. He took it home so his young children could hold their baby brother before they buried it.

These people ARE FUCKING FREAKS!!!.

Help!!! Let me off this planet.

15. Here:
A Roman Catholic, Santorum, 44, is a staunch pro-life advocate, and publicly trumpets that he is most proud of his role “as husband and father.” Santorum and his wife, Karen Garver Santorum, make a point of saying that they are the parents of seven children, including “Gabriel Michael (deceased),” who was born prematurely at five months and lived ex utero for a few brief hours. The couple brought the dead child home so that the other children would have an opportunity to see him, and in her book Letters to Gabriel, which includes a forward by Mother Teresa, Santorum memorialized the family’s tragic loss.

3. do they realize who they're dealing with?
he could snap his fingers and have the Penn Hills School board vaporized, or have Erin Vecchio disappeared. Do they want to mess with Rick Santorum over a lousy residency requirement, which is intended for little people anyway?

It just pisses me off though. This hypocritical douchebag that whines and whines about govt spending is siphoning $100,000 grand to pay for private school for his own damn children.

Here, if you want to educate your children privately, you have to pay.

How did he get elected in PA anyway?

6. primary residence vs secondary or investment property
Ms. Vecchio merely needs to determine which residence Senator Santorum considers his primary residence. If it is the Virginia one they she has a case. All members of congress have a primary residence in either the State or district that they represent. I will bet you that all of his cars have PA tags on them. My impression is that he is home schooling his children and that should fall under Virginia Education guidelines.

18. It costs MONEY in Virginia to license your car.
Not only that, but in general it's illegal to live in Virginia for more than a month with out of state plates.

It may be different for members of Congress, true, but if he's living there, he's cheating the Commonwealth of Virginia out of tax money, too :)

Rick Santorum home-schools his children—or, rather, his wife does.

then why the hell is he senator of Pennsylvania? This alone is enough to disqualify him as senator.

That is not a rich school district. PA school districts also get some of their funding from the state, so Santorum is also screwing ALL the taxpayers of PA.

Santorum is scum.

19. i live in Penn Hills
and get the paper that covered this issue. Santorum is one step away from the anti-christ in my book. The Penn Hills School District is not a wealthy school district by any means!!!! $100,000 is way to much to pay and could go to other things that students like my brother need....

Santorum is a dick, i will never forget when my mom told him to "get the fuck out of my yard" when he was going door to door on my neighborhood trying to get votes
