Bush Honors 'Hidden Heroes' in Military
The headline really caught my eye. I wonder if "hidden heroes" refers to all the flag-draped coffins returning home under cover of night so that know one will see them?

:(

ARLINGTON, Va. - President Bush (news - web sites) paused on Veterans Day to honor the "hidden heroes" in America's military who have fought in Iraq (news - web sites) and Afghanistan (news - web sites) during his presidency and in wars past. He also paid tribute to soldiers he said are waging a winning battle against insurgents west of Baghdad.

"Some of tomorrow's veterans are in combat in Iraq at this hour," Bush said Thursday at Arlington National Cemetery, where he laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns.

As Bush spoke, U.S. soldiers and Marines opened a second phase in an offensive against insurgents in the southern half of Fallujah that has sent a stream of American wounded to the U.S. military's main hospital in Europe. Planes carrying around 90 injured troops were expected Thursday at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. They join 125 wounded soldiers flown there already this week.

There are about 142,000 U.S. troops in Iraq, up several thousand from a few weeks ago. As the Iraq war nears the two-year mark, the U.S. military death toll there stands at more than 1,140.

7. CIA operatives
It is the CIA operatives to whom he is referring. It is more of a political gesture. Kind of a (wink, wink) to the CIA who are crawling all over Northern Virginia.

8. I think he's refering to
the special forces who's names and faces will not be publically released until long after the war, if ever. Or maybe those who go MIA and are seen again. These people deserve our thoughts too.

10. Think tank cover?
To explain why the dead soldiers returned silently in the night. They would prefer you think that these guys died wanting to return anonymously without fanfare rather than mess up his re-election. Bush has so many highly paid truth manipulators, history re-writers and up-front liars to think up and install this propaganda.
