Reuters staff mull strike over feared job cuts

LONDON : Reuters journalists in Britain are considering a strike in protest at a cut in the editorial budget that staff fear may lead to up to 250 job losses in the news division.

The British news and financial information provider has postponed the introduction of a multi-million pound editorial system and ordered editorial costs to be cut by 22 million pounds (31 million euros, 41 million dollars), according to the Guardian newspaper.

1. Reuters should do like most American media outlets
Just hire stenographers to write down what Karl Rove tells them to write. Stenographers are much cheaper than journalists and researchers.

2. LOL....that was good, the stenographers should also be
cheap labor immigrants who are willing to work without
benefits and for starvation wages that they send out of
the country to their relatives in Mexico and India or
where ever.
