Rossi Clings To Lead In Tight Governor's Race WA state
/www.kirotv.com/politics/3899757/detail.html

UPDATED: 5:52 AM PST November 12, 2004

With 21 counties still counting, there are 85,000 ballots remaining, many of these provisional ballots, Rossi is leading by 3,594 votes.

QUESTION??? does anyone know in which counties the votes are being counted?

2. They are all absentees at this point.
Final Push usually goes slightly DEM. That's how Maria Cantwell won 4 years ago. (D Senator).

4. Ditto..what would blue state WA do with a Repub. governor?
Unless the eastern part of the state voted strictly republican, not sure how Rossi is having such a close run.

6. Washington Counties Still Being Counted
http://vote.wa.gov/general/status.aspx

As of today at 11:29AM PST there were only three counties that have no more votes to count. There are 81,165 more ballots to be counted statewide. This includes provisional ballots.

There is a move on to contact voters who mailed-in absentee ballots in King County but forgot to sign the envelope. The county is calling every one of those voters to go to the elections office to sign the envelope so their vote will count.

There is also a lawsuit by the state Democratic Party against King County that is asking that all provisional ballots be given due attention and that hundreds of them not be thrown away for technical reasons.
