DoD Identifies Marine Casualty

No. 1140-04
IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 12, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.



Lance Cpl. Abraham Simpson, 19, Chino, Calif., died Nov. 9 as a result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

You are right. they will quickly be forgotten as soon as the conflict is given up on by the NeoCons who will look for another pile of $$$$$$$$ to strip mine.

Sorry I'm really pissed off that no one I saw today, said anything about the new casualties when I asked them.

13. The war in Iraq is not going to go away
No matter how much people want to blank it out. Iraq is just an appetiser for bigger conflicts to come. Those who have passed up on this course have no need to feel smug. They will have chance to dine on a banquet of consequences in the near future.

I guess at almost age 60 I should known better.
