Ten killed, 120 hurt in Philippine train derailment
Edited on Sat Nov-13-04 02:08 AM by dArKeR
A passenger train speeding along a bad section of track derailed and tumbled into a ravine before dawn yesterday, killing at least 10 people and injuring 120, officials said.

Some cars ended upside down, forcing rescue workers to smash windows to free survivors, pulling some of them up the ravine with ropes. Two more people were feared dead in the wreckage.

Officials speculated that the curved track where the derailment occurred -- the site of another accident two months ago -- had been weakened by looters sca-venging rail ties and metal pieces for scrap.

The PI, aWol's model for 'all democracies to follow.' A government which was installed by the US from the time of Marcos until today and has murdered more of its citizens than 100 times of Saddam had. America, a moral Christian country. Murder in the name of Jesus! http://home.iprimus.com.au/korob/fdtcards/Asia-Pacific.html

A government that allows 95% of its people to live below poverty. Where citizens who own the country must remove railroad ties in need of wood to replace their GE refrigerator cardboard boxes. Oh, that's right, it's a Christian country which is in about the same shape as the other countries in South America which the United States has been aiding and training its officers in the School of the Americas (Butchers).
