BAGHDAD, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Insurgents attacked a military base outside Baghdad with "indirect fire", killing one soldier serving with U.S.-led multinational forces in Iraq and wounding three, the U.S. military said on Sunday.

A statement said the attack was on Saturday evening. It did not give the location of the base or nationalities of the casualties.

The military generally uses the term indirect fire to refer to mortar or rocket fire.
