Pictures of North Korea's Kim 'missing'
Some portraits of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il have reportedly been taken down in Pyongyang, news agencies quoted diplomats as saying on Tuesday.

An unnamed diplomat told the Russian news agency Itar-Tass that at receptions hosted by the North Korean foreign ministry, guests had recently only seen pictures of Kim Jong-il's father, Kim Il-sung, and a mark on the wall where a portrait of the North Korean leader used to hang.

2. The scary thing about North Korea...
...is that Kim Jong-Il really could be dead, and the world might not find out about it for months.

6. We need to analyze why the photos were taken down.
Some theories:

1) Kim Jong Il is no longer with us. Is he dead? That would be a good reason for taking down photos.

2) He's fallen out of favor. In dictatorships where surviving one more day is considered a success, things can happen. Looks like Dad is the Man of the Hour.

3) He's sick.

The way things are right now, we can only speculate.

7. He is a humble man, and is embarrassed by all
the attention and adulation.

Yeah right.

8. That is very puzzling
You would think that no matter what his status, they would leave the pictures up to fool the world. Who knows.

12. After his amazing round of golf...
Well, when I heard a few months back that he picked up a set of golf clubs for the first time and went out on the course, hitting something like 14 hole in ones and shot a 26 on a par 72 course, claiming that the game was "too easy to play", I knew we had a serious world leader.

My guess is that they took the picture down and are putting up some action shots of him.. piloting a WWII fighter plane, shooting down Americans, Kim Jong-Il single handedly fighting off the Huns, a pack of Grizzly bears, saving a hundred infants from a fire at the children's hospital... you know, real moral boosting stuff.

The thing that worries me about him is that he really should be in an institution. I don't mean that he's a dangerous man like Bush, I mean like he is totally and unequivically certifiable, and should be locked up for everyone's safety. He has a GIANT collection of Muppets video tapes for crying out tears! If anyone has seen Team America: World Police, the portrayal of him is simply hysterical.

16. Get 'em while they're... well, if not hot, at least room temperature
"Mommy mommy! Can I get some Kim Il Jung propoganda?"

"No little Jimmy, you'll just have to deal with what you see on Fox News.. you know the economy is bad right now, and we can't afford any of Kim's stuff.."

I totally want some Kim Il-Jung memorabelia... that would be sweet. I wonder if they modeled the videos after the Nazi stuff of the 30's.
