Iran will love us. We just established a fundamentalist regime with close ties to Iran in Iraq.

But we'd be spread too thin and people could easily start lobbing missiles at our military establishments in the region. Also, we cannot guard many more airports because it takes a LOT of effort to stop people from launching heat-seeking missles, etc. at aircraft.

Not much relief, but some.

Seriously, Iran will be limited to air strikes of nuclear/military facilities. There won't be a ground invasion.

People really think we "coulda won that war if they'd just let us" in Vietnam. (I guess it woulda taken more than 3 million Vietnamese deaths to get the job done). I say that because there seems to be an unending desire to get past the "Vietnam syndrome" (So we'll make up for that failure to "bring freedom" to the world by trying once again.) Never came close to winning it, even with the massive armaments and troop deployments there, the countryside in Vietnam is filled with former U.S. bases that were overrun by the commies and abandoned by the U.S. military in the course of the war. Why? Because the 50-60 million plus Vietnamese people did not support the invaders. And now we would invade and hope to conquer and occupy a nation of 80 million while engaged in a war next door.
Gimme a break.

If the US invades Iran Chimps Amerika would be ripe for Invasion. China could say they are coming here to make a Regime change.

All they need to do is call in the billions in loans and then go to the Euro. If Russia and other nations do that, also I don't think that the U.S. will be attacking Iran, nor will Israel. Would Syria invade Iraq if the U.S. would bomb Iran? I don't think the U.S. will invade Ira.

I will get arrested for civil disobedience. I feel guilty enough that I did not do so two years ago.
