EXPOSÉ: THE “CHRISTIAN” MAFIA, By Wayne Madsen (LONG)
EXPOSÉ: THE “CHRISTIAN” MAFIA

Where Those Who Now Run the U.S. Government Came From and Where They Are Taking Us

By Wayne Madsen

Part I

A

fter several months of in-depth research and, at first, seemingly unrelated conversations with former high-level intelligence officials, lawyers, politicians, religious figures, other investigative journalists, and researchers, I can now report on a criminal conspiracy so vast and monstrous it defies imagination. Using “Christian” groups as tax-exempt and cleverly camouflaged covers, wealthy right-wing businessmen and “clergy” have now assumed firm control over the biggest prize of all – the government of the United States of America. First, some housekeeping is in order. My use of the term “Christian” is merely to clearly identify the criminal conspirators who have chosen to misuse their self-avowed devotion to Jesus Christ to advance a very un-Christian agenda. The term “Christian Mafia” is what several Washington politicians have termed the major conspirators and it is not intended to debase Christians or infer that they are criminals . I will also use the term Nazi – not for shock value – but to properly tag the political affiliations of the early founders of the so-called “Christian” power cult called the Fellowship. The most important element of this story is that a destructive religious movement has now achieved almost total control over the machinery of government of the United States – its executive, its legislature, several state governments, and soon, the federal judiciary, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

The United States has experienced religious and cult hucksters throughout its history, from Cotton Mather and his Salem witch burners to Billy Sunday, Father Charles Coughlin, Charles Manson, Jim Jones, David Koresh, Marshall Applewhite, and others. But none have ever achieved the kind of power now possessed by a powerful and secretive group of conservative politicians and wealthy businessmen in the United States and abroad who are known among their adherents and friends as The Fellowship or The Family. The Fellowship and its predecessor organizations have used Jesus in the same way that McDonald’s uses golden arches and Coca Cola uses its stylized script lettering. Jesus is a logo and a slogan for the Fellowship. Jesus is used to justify the Fellowship’s access to the highest levels of government and business in the same way Santa Claus entices children into department stores and malls during the Christmas shopping season.

When the Founders of our nation constitutionally separated Church and State, the idea of the Fellowship taking over the government would have been their worst nightmare. The Fellowship has been around under various names since 1935. Its stealth existence has been perpetuated by its organization into small cells, a pyramid organization of “correspondents,” “associates,” “friends,” “members,” and “core members,” tax-exempt status for its foundations, and its protection by the highest echelons of the our own government and those abroad.

CONT, VERY VERY LONG

I've just scanned it quickly, and printed it out for a serious read later today.

Anyone here who still thinks this election wasn't stolen should take a look at this excellent expose.

9. My husband sent me this link. He knows I'm a Christian, he's a agnostic
but we are both liberal. I read the article and feel these people don't know the first thing about Christ. I doubt they even care. I doubt they even read the Bible, because there is no way in hell they are following the teachings of Jesus. The sheeple who listen to them must be in Kool Aid heaven.

10. the only thing that could explain how these people extoll such a bastard
version of the gospels (ha! as if they even CARE about that part of the bible) is money. they are allowing a "generous" reading of the Bible b/c it's in their economic self-interest.

yikes -- it's exactly what the nazis did. i've got dinner at friend's house who took her masters in nazi history, particularly the "culture" -- can't wait to get her take on this.

7. If you want truth that helps connect the dots..
you have to take the time to read this... then you can tell your friends amazing facts about how we got where we are and how it is directly connected to people that supported the nazi and are today working to install there own version of fascism! In light of the words of Senator Byrd and his warnings of legislation that republicans are now proposing and how it can lead to the legitimizing otherwise illegal and immoral acts. He cites the laws the Nazis pushed thru the government that lead to the writing of laws against Jews and others. If a law says we can kill gays, or Muslims, it is not justice! The enlightenment of our friends as to the dangers we face will provide us all with our best defense.. Awareness!!

All the dots connected in here are very scary indeed.

I don't know how anyone who reads this can NOT see the frightening overall plan that has been set in motion for MANY years and is coming to fruition with the chimperator.

The size and connections to seemingly innocent things...well...please, ya gotta read this!

14. Great excerpt on possible Carter assassination
"Another troubled young man who was exposed to Christian evangelism but who became active in right-wing Nazi causes was John W. Hinckley, Jr., the Texas-raised son of the wealthy head of Vanderbilt Energy Company, John W. Hinckley, Sr. Eventually, the Hinckleys moved from Dallas, Texas to Evergreen, Colorado. Hinckley, Jr., like Rove, dropped out of college. After a failed attempt at becoming a songwriter in Hollywood, Hinckley returned to Evergreen, where he worked as a busboy in a nightclub. In late 1980, at the same time George H. W. Bush was planning his meeting in Paris with emissaries of the Islamic regime in Iran to convince them to hold on to U.S. embassy hostages taken captive in Tehran in 1979 until after the presidential election -- in order to deny President Carter an “October Surprise” -- Hinckley began stalking Carter. He also stalked presidential candidate Senator Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts. When Nashville Airport baggage metal detectors identified two handguns in Hinckley’s luggage, he was arrested, had his weapons confiscated, fined $62.50, and released. President Carter was making a campaign stop in Nashville the day Hinckley was arrested but the Secret Service decided not to make any more inquiries. Hinckley then purchased two more handguns."

Amazing.

15. Ya lost me at AA-pyscologically abusive??
I did some research, you must be talking about the OXFORD group. Per my experience in another 12 Step Program, I can tell you there isn't any pyscological abuse going on in our meetings. In fact, it's all about self discovery and accountability.

The spiritual component is there, but it's all about a God of your OWN understanding. You can worship a chair or simply the goodness in all humankind.

There may have been initial issues that required official seperation from this group, but calling AA pyscologically abusive is like calling a real Christian a thug.

Makes me question the rest of the read.

Per an official AA Link:
http://www.aabibliography.com/article21.html

<snip>
AA is not the Oxford Group and the Oxford Group is not AA.

i don't know all the inside scoop about AA--never been to a meeting and so i'm not all that familiar with it--but i was wondering in what way he meant psychologically abusive. i couldn't figure that out. i went on google and tried to research some of the history of AA but couldn't quite grasp anything...unless he was talking about the god thing.

He certainly needs to substantiate and clarify that statement.

Right away it makes the whole thing not quite credible, perhaps undeservedly so.

31. Oxford group started in England..
during 1930s cuz Frank Buchman was lecturing at Oxford..
AA began in 1935 when Smith and Wilson established their connections in Akron..
Both these founders borrowwed from religions, philosophy and related spiritual writings..
Buchman is referenced in AA literature also Buchman preached this evangelical Christian stuff in China in late 1920s and was influenced by Buddhism and Taoism..

I do like most of the read but he is way off on AA which is widely used and accepted in most rehabs...many professionals will refer to AA despite never going or having had a problem..

I NEVER think of bush as a christian...My opinion is that he is a satanist like the rest of his red, white and blue blooded traitorous syndicate..
I remember when he mocked and then executed Karla Tucker whom was a born again Christian despite many appeals for her life.
THANX for speaking out on this one..Truths will bring down these legal criminals..

NAZIS is what bush is and always has been!

27. A little skepticism is warranted here
I fear the "Christian Mafia" too, but the way this guy ties things together is less than academically stellar, and he apparently feels it is okay to smear an entire philosophy or group (e.g., witness his comments regarding AA, Frank Buchman, Oxford Group)if it stands in the way of his theories.

The First Prince of the Theocratic States of America

It happened quietly, with barely a mention in the media. Only the Washington Post dutifully reported it.<1> And only Kevin Phillips saw its significance in his new book, American Dynasty.<2> On December 24, 2001, Pat Robertson resigned his position as President of the Christian Coalition.

Behind the scenes religious conservatives were abuzz with excitement. They believed Robertson had stepped down to allow the ascendance of the President of the United States of America to take his rightful place as the head of the true American Holy Christian Church.

Robertson’s act was symbolic, but it carried a secret and solemn revelation to the faithful. It was the signal that the Bush administration was a government under God that was led by an anointed President who would be the first regent in a dynasty of regents awaiting the return of Jesus to earth. The President would now be the minister through whom God would execute His will in the nation. George W. Bush accepted his scepter and his sword with humility, grace and a sense of exultation.

As Antonin Scalia, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court explained a few months later, the Bible teaches and Christians believe “… that government …derives its moral authority from God. Government is the ‘minister of God’ with powers to ‘revenge,’ to ‘execute wrath,’ including even wrath by the sword…”<3>

This group is a composite of fully-fleged whacko extremeists of varying shades and stripes, but common to-a-tee in motive and vision. Some are in it for the rapture, some are in it for the power, some are in it for the cash, but they're all in it together and they're intent is to turn the clock back 700 years and negate the Age of Enlightenment, restore the Demonic perspective and the Feudal Age.

29. "As a Republican, you must love, worship and ignore Jesus."
This is a line from the great animation "Becoming Republican":
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x1640702
It's hilarious because it is so extreme, but the horrible fact is that it is actually rather accurate.

Amazing how the RW fundie religious leaders have ignored what they pretend to base their ministries on. Didn't they ever read what Jesus said about hypocrites? That passage about "whited sepulchres" dosn't leave any doubt there and is quite shocking in its angry intensity, coming from such a gentle, tolerant man. And about the money-changers in the Temple? He whipped them out himself -- again, shockingly clear as a statement. Jesus said nothing about gays, but he did speak loudly and clearly about what the blivet** cartel and their fundie cronies are about.

Now they are trying to spread their corruption further, seducing other religious leaders with promises of "faith-based initiative" money and political influence. For example, see what is happening with some of the black church leaders in this thread (both OP and comments):
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=102&topic_id=1287752
Excerpt from the article cited: But they also raise questions about the conservatives in their own ranks, accusing them of being seduced by Mr. Bush's "faith-based initiatives" program to funnel federal monies to church-run social service programs and asking how much sway they really have.

"Where did this come from?" said the Rev. Madison Shockley, pastor of the Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Carlsbad, Calif., who with Mr. Calloway wrote an opinion article in The Los Angeles Times in response to the "Black Contract With America." "It came from Bush and the Christian right, and the carrot is faith-based money."

I have not yet read the full text of this latest article of Madsen's, nor am I certain about how factual his detailed claims are -- but there is no doubt at all about the corruption and hatemongering among the religious leaders that have helped propel and maintain the blivet** and his whole criminal cartel. It is certainly a conspiracy and it is destroying this country.
